Monday's Assignment

Many of you did a great job with Monday's assignment; however, some of you left out some important information. I asked what elements of art were included in your favorite prints. I ALSO wanted you to tell me where you see these elements of art in the photograph. If you feel you need to resubmit your work from Monday please feel free. I will take your best work.

aug 10-16-light festival- I liked the color blended and made different effects pn the walls, it showed space and depth. There is also avlueemphasized in this photograph. The difference in th shades of color shows that.

aug 3-9-inverted thrill- This picture shows space and form because the angle of the shot shows that some of the riders are farther away then others. The color of the roller coaster contrasts with the faces of the riders.

july 27 aug 2- Prisoner's statement- this photograph a;lso shows the space when you see the man in the background. there are also interesting efects in value and form and texture when you see the dirty metal bars against the fuzzy background.

july 20-26-hallowed book- this picture shows line and shape with the big bold stack of rectangular books.

July 20-26- "pollen peddler" contains the elements of color because of the yellow, value because there are lighter and darker shades of yellow, line because of the curved flower peddle, texture because of the middle of the flower and space because of the sky.

July 27-Aug 2nd- "victory!" has elements of color from the clothes, line and shape from the trophy and space from the sky.

Aug 3rd - 9th- "remebering hiroshima" elements are color from the light boxes, value from the different colors due to shadows, line and form for the boxes, texture from the materials and space from the ground.

Aug 10-16th- the elements in "masked celebration" are color from the mask, form from the nose and texture from the clothes.

MY favorite photo for this week is Flying Fruit. Mostly because it looks like a painting and second of all it there really is no way to tell that all of the red color is tomato.

So the color most definetely is an element I notice. I also notice the element of lines, with the human bodies that seem to be died red and then the foward arm that is the normal human skin color. But the fact that you can reconganize humans in the mix, allows it to have contast. It becomes more. There is also shape, almost 3-d, which would be form, but anyways, there are chunks of tomatoes that you can pick out. It is almost as if they are hurling towards the person view the photo.
