October 5-11 - I chose "refracted beauty" Because of the color and the shapes of the flowers. The distinct lines of the leaf and the drops on the leaf draw your attention toward the refraction in the droplets.

oct 5-11- i like "jones explains" becuase it captures her emotion of sadness and value. i also like that the picture is close up and you can see the lines and texture of her face.

In the week of Sept 28 through oct 4, I liked the 9th picture called sunset paddle, i think this picture is very pretty and i love the unique sun colors. The orange and pink are very drawing to your attention and the texture of the water is beautiful.

In the week of october 5-11 I enjoyed the comedy of the picture called Cat mouse with the cat whose tounge is sticking out and it is touching a computer mouse. I love the cat's fur texture and distinct colors.
Nikki R, period 2, In the week of Sept 21-27 I liked the 12th picture called Silent Street, i think this picture is very pretty and i love how the light cast down on the cute couple sitting in the street. I love the roads texture and the shade cast on the street.

Oct5-11 Refracted Beauty: because the fact that you can see the image of the flower in the water drops. Alose the ccolor of bothe flower and the stem, The line created by the stem. How the flower in the background and the stem are out of focus but the drops are in focus, and the texture created but the upper drops.
i liked reflected beauty because when you first look at the pic it is cloudy then you see the flowers in the water drops it is really cool.

The photograph that caugh my attention the most is titled Refracted beauty. It caught my attention the most becuase of the bright color and how well you can see the texture in the water droplets.

Pic: Refracted Beauty
The expanse of yellow with the black in the middle catches the eye. This textureless color is offset by the sharper, defining lines of the raindrops, which the eyes migrate to after first focusing on the black smudge near the center of the photo. The image seen in the raindrops creates the illusion of space in the raindrop.

In this week of photos, the one I preferred the most was the first picture of the week with the fireman, policeman, and a patient going into an ambulance. I like this picture because of the contradiction in it, hoe the patient is giving a thumbs up as he is going into the ambulance. I also like the view of the picture, where it was taken, from an angle rather than straight on.

My favorite picture from this week is hard at work. The lines created from the workers holding the shovels identically and parallel to eachother really grabbed my attention.The colors of the workers shirts contrast with the background as well as the shadows on thier bodies

My favorite photograph for this week is the one called Cat and Mouse. I really like the light and dark contrast of the cats coat and how it looks like he is really using the computer. I also like the angle it is shot at and how its tounge is sticking out.

My favorite photo from this week was "Refrected Beauty". My favorite part of the picture is the bold yellow. It draws your eyes to the image. I also like how the balance in kinda of between being formal and informal because it isn't exactly symetrical but there is some symmetry. I also really like the texture of the water droplets.

my favorite was refracted beauty. I really liked how the giant flower in hte background is out of focus, but it's reflection in the water droplets is perfectly clear. it's a really interesting perspective. also the colors are duller in the background than in the dropets, making them more the focus of attention.

The picture that captured my attention most from this week was called Hard at work. It looked very symmetrical because all of the people look to be doing the exact same thing at the exact same time.

i selected the picture "rais scene". i liked the creative use of light, and i observed the use of the rule of thirds. The color of the womans dress always presents a contrast with the dark army gear.

october 5-11. i chose refracted beauty because of the texture and color balances.the reflection in the water dropplets is amazing and i think its gorgeous.i love the glossyness of the water drops and the exact lines of the flower in the dropplet.overall i think this picture is amazing.

I like the picture survior becaise this picture shows the courage of this man on the backboard holding a thumbs up which I find is quite funny considering he has a oxygen mask on and looks pretty banged up. That is why I like this photograph.
