Converting A Color Image to Black and White Due Friday, Febuary 1

Follow these steps in order to convert a color print to a black and white. There are many different methods of doing this however this method allows for greater flexibility in tones.

1. Open image you want to use for this assignment.
2. Crop image to 5x7.
3. Click on layer-new adjustment layer-channel mixer, and then click ok.

















4. Check monochrome and set your Red, Green and Blue settings to R-70, G-20 and B-10.
















5. You may adjust Red, Green or Blue settings to something else but the sum of all must be 100.
6. Slide constant to desired level and then click ok.
7. Then save your file by clicking save as. Save your picture as winterbw.
