i chose building a bridge because i thought the rule of thirds was used. all the attention is focused towards the wavy supports towards the right side of the picture. the construction workers add action to the photo as well.

I think the way you can make the picture better is to take the crane out of the backround and include more of the sky. or maybe show more of what parts of the bridge are actually done.

I choose the picture Echoes of the Great Depresion be because it shows all the emotion of the man's face because of the fall of the stock market. I think you could make it better by using a bigger aperture and focusing on the one mans face and everyone else should be a little out of focus.

Winged Celebration.
The elements in this picture are the planes performing for the independance day in Mexico. The view the photographer was art captures the expression of the statue as well as the planes flying over head.

Poison Milk Scare
-This photo is my favorite because i like how the background is out of focus. The element of space is used to fill the majority of the frame, as well as the shallow depth of the background.
Kevin M. 4th Driving Force. This a photo of the new Chevy Volt fully electric car. The car has a rounded shape to it and reflects strong light from light above the car.

From the week of Sept. 19, I liked the picture 'Winged Celebration'. The element of art used here is line and shape. The shape is seen in the plains in the sky and the line is from the man ligting his arms.

Devastating Crash
I like this photo because the of the color contrasts. The contrast between the bright yellow of the firemen and the dark browns and blacks of the debris are interesting to the human eye.

Winged Celebration was my favorite photo because of the contrast in color between the statue and the light sky. I also like the pattern of the planes in the sky as they are flying.

devistating crash is my favorite photo because it is a birds eye view. the picture shows a lot of texture because everything is focused. the colors are very good in the photo also. it freezes time during the rescue.

I like the photo "Reef World" because it's a recently discovered species. The photograph shows color, which makes it look like it's glowing.
Sami B. 4th period
"Read My Lipstick" is my favorite because of how the american flag is out of focus in the background. Elements of art that are used are color, line, texture, shape, and value. They make the photo more interesting by the contrast between the fuzzy colors of the flag and the sharp, crisp colors of her hand and lipstick.

Winged Celebration was my favorite picture. I liked that the planes were fairly in focus, meaning that there was a large depth of field. I also liked that there was no central object in the picture, and that the focus was on an image in the bottom corner. This made the photo interesting.

Sept 19:
My favorite picture in this week was called Read My Lipstick. It was my favorite picture for a few reasons. The only thing that is in focus is her hand and the lipstick which adds emphasis. also the out of focus flag in the background also makes the picture seem patriotic.

Driving force was my favorite picture because of symmetry of the car.
the best picture from the week of september 19 would have to be "winged celebration".because of its majesty coming from the statue and also how the plane's formations are in 2 perfect v's
September 19th - The Sea Came to Town
I love this picture because it shows a result of a hurricane that most people don't even think of. It just shows how there are so many different probelms that are caused that people don't even realize or think about. Elements of art: Color: I like how this picture is mostly a mixture of whites and gray. Shape: I like how, because there are so many dead fish, the shape of a fish is repeated so many times throughout this picture. Space: It's interesting how the fish are thoughout the whole picture and are focused in the foreground anf out of focus in the background. I also like that there is a white car that is out of focus in the background.

This is my favorite picture because the lobster is transparent, and looks very cool. The elemnt of art that is used in this picture is clor because the is green blue and white in the lobster.

Winged Celebration
This picture really caught my eye, I liked how the photographer captured the statue in one corner and then the planes in the sky. Elements of art: the way that the statue is in focus and then everything else goes out of focus, but the planes are still visible. The use of color, by making this picture in black & white. And the use of capturing the statue in the corner.

i like it because it shows a large distortion of hight. it has diffrent colors of blue. Also there are parallel lines.

In the album Sept 19th, I th epicture entitled "Two of a Kind" was my favorite. It was even more interesting having the woman with the biggets legs in the worlds in the same picture with the smallest man. This dramatic size difference makes the man look even smaller by comparasin and it is a very interesting photo. Also he used an element of color becaus eboth people are dressed in a matching shade of blue.
Ben R. 5th period
My favorite picture from this weeks photographs is "Driving Force." I like this picture because of the light reflection coming off the car to make it look like its shining. Elements of art used in this picture are color and texture. the color of the car makes for a good subject for the almost lens-flare effect to happen. the texture of the car looks very smooth making it look very perfected.

For the week of September 19th, my favorite photo is "The Sea Came To Town." This is because the photo becomes gradually out of focus. The fish in the front of the photo are very clear, and everything behind it becomes gradually out of focus.

sept 19:
Picture 2 "Devastating Crash" was a picture of firefighters scrambling over a wreaked train. The picture has color, value, line, shape, and texture. The colors are yellow(uniforms, tarp, and train engine), blue(shirt, bags, and the USA flag), red(bags, USA flag, and fire hose), brown (dirt, wood, and rocks), gray(train tracks and fire hoses), white(train, rubble, and car), black(train's paint, and bags), green(trees), and orange(firefighters and firehoses). The values verry by each color but have a great range. The lines are curve, strait, diagnal, horizantal, paralell, perpendicular, and outline. The shapes are oval(peoples helmets and trafic cones), rectangle(trains windows and painting, and the traintracks), and organic(the rocks and other funny shapes). The form is not seen in teh picture but there is some there. The textures are the ground(slightly rough and grainy), train(smooth and metalic), and the laders(verrry rough and bumpy.

Sept. 19 The sea came to town
This picture was amazing. The elements of art yhat were used in this photo were color, shape, and space. Color was used by having all the fish the same color eith the matching color of the car in the background. Shape was used to emphasize how all the fish looked. They used space by moving the camera farther away so they could actually capture how many fish there were all over the road. I really liked this picture.
SEP.19: pic#5:
Driving Force:
I Choose this as my favorite picture of this week because, it really stuck out to me. The elements of art in this picture are: the color of the car is really emphasized because it is really bright silver against a black backround which puts more focus on the subject which is the car. There is a change in the value of the picture too, because there is lightness and deakness contrasted. There are a lot of different lines, but a lot of straight, and also some curved, for the car. The picture has a really smoothe, and bright texture.

My favorite is "The sea came to town" because i like the depth of field which was used and how the farther it goes back the less detail there is.
i think the picture of the dead fish is one of the better ones. (the one of the planes in mexico is good too, but i figured that everybody would pick that one.) it looks like a battlefield almost, with just the corpses left over, and it is generally one color, so the most catching part of it is the shape and smoothness of the fish, and how their eyes are still open after they are dead.
Sep 19th Week
Photo number 12
Reef World
I chose picture number 12 as my favorite pictue because of the two different colors. The light color of the shrimp with the dark background makes this a very interesting photograph. The photographer had a good idea when placing the shrimp on the dark background because you can see details on the shrimp more clear. This makes it easy to see that the texture is smooth but may be hard. And the dark background brings out the different colors. The shrimp has a straight body with lines going across and a more oval shape as you get closer to the head.

Week of September 19
My favorite photo is the one with the fish all over the road because of the flooding in Texas. The element of art it represents is space, because it shows spacial depth in this photo. It shows some fish really close up, and they fade away into the background and get more blurry and begin to disappear.

Winged Celebration
The statue in this picture stood out to me more than the planes, because they are more easily overlooked because of their distance in the shot and their fuzzy focus. The statue also expresses the feeling of celebration on the Mexican Independence Day. The angle makes the statue look bigger because it is over the photographer.

The picture that was my favorite was the winged celebration. I liked the picture because it used various elements of art such as contrast between the statue and the sky, and also it used the rule of thirds well with the statue. Another thing that i liked was how the sky was slightly out of focus adding emphasis
