Below are several questions you will need to submit with your completed story book. Please select seven of the ten questions and complete a short response. Your short answers must be in the form of your own complete sentences and thoughts. Copy and paste each question into a word document, make the question bold and then begin your responses. As always, you will need to double space with #12 Times New Roman font. The title of this document will be Final. Please notice that the last question is required and needs to be included as one of your seven responses.
What does it mean to bracket your exposures? Why do we bracket when shooting our subjects?
How do you control your depth of field? Why might we want a very shallow depth of field? Why might a want a deep depth of field?
How do you shoot white subjects? Why do you have to manipulate the camera to get a proper exposure?
What are the elements of art? How can each element be used in photography?
Why do we use darkroom filters? Tell me how each numbered filter affects your images.
Why do we dodge and burn in the darkroom?
Describe the types of cameras we learned about at the beginning of the year. How are they used? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
How is the shutter used to capture motion? Why might you need a slow shutter? Why might you need a fast shutter? Please give examples along with your description.
What is film speed? Please tell me the different film speeds that are available. Where might you use a fast film and a slow film?
After taking this class would you consider a career in a photography related field? Why or why not? (Required)
