Photojounalism Assignment

You will take one roll of film and as many digital images as you want.

a. Dramatic Angles - Shoot people or scenes from around school or town from unusual angles. You might climb a ladder or lie on your back to get an interesting angle of your subject. You could also shoot someone framed by something else. Another option is to get really close to something or shoot a seldom-seen view of your subject. Please use your creativity but be sure that it is not the common viewpoint and at least half of your photos have people in them.

b. Shoot a roll of film and use your digitial camera to capture people doing things around town. I would prefer that you shoot these pictures outside do to better lighting conditions. Place your subject next to a window if you decide to shoot indoors. After you take the picture, approach your subjects and explain you are doing a photojournalism assignment and ask for their names. Be sure to get their proper spelling. Be sure you keep your shoot list in a well organized manner so you can later match your picture with your subjects. Do not have your subjects pose for these pictures but rather capture them in their everyday activities. You will prepare a caption to go under your print.
